HUFFINGTON POST: OUT IN TECH BUILDS WEBSITES FOR 10 LGBTQ+ ORGANIZATIONS WORLDWIDE
"Local non-profits and their brave leaders are absolutely critical for the millions of LGBTQ+ people around the world who are looking for advocates, a community, a safe environment, and resources pertaining to sexual health."
THE MEMO: LIFE OR DEATH? OUT IN TECH ARE HELPING PEOPLE IN THE WORST PLACES TO BE LGBTQ+
"More than 70 countries still have discriminatory laws in place against homosexual acts, and this number would be even bigger if it included nations like Russia (which enforces a federal law “for the Purpose of Protecting Children from Information Advocating for a Denial of Traditional Family Values”)."
INCLUSION TECH: CONNECTING COMMUNITIES THROUGH CODE
The other eight organizations benefitting from the event hail from Belize, Botswana, Brazil, China, the Nile Valley (Egypt/Sudan), Pakistan, Russia, and Zimbabwe. The Out in Tech team is hoping that this will be the first of a series of events geared at supporting these extraordinary grassroots organizations, and at providing an opportunity for its members to contribute to the fight towards equality.
